Balance of Nature vs GOvana Fruits and Veggies: Are They Healthy or Just Hype?

GOvänaDeluxe by HempvanaGOvana Fruits and Veggies is another TV-advertised whole food supplement like Balance of Nature. Both company’s television ads and websites make bold promises, but are these products just hype or are they any good?

This detailed comparison of both products has the full ingredients lists, pros and cons, daily and monthly costs, customer feedback, similar alternatives and a verdict on their overall effectiveness.

What is GOvana?

GOvana Fruits and Veggies is a powdered whole-food blend of 24 fruits and 24 vegetables with added vitamin B12 and green tea extract. It comes in 2 containers of 30 capsules each, with a 2 capsule daily dose, and is only sold in the new ‘ultra-premium’ formula at hempvana.com.

An older version of GOvana fruit and veggie pills with just 16 ingredients in each formula was previously sold at Walmart and other outlets, but it’s currently out of stock as I write this GOvana review.

What is Balance of Nature?

Fruits & Veggies by Balance of Nature is a combination of 31 freeze-dried and powdered vegetables and fruits. The company says the supplement is third-party tested, non-GMO, and free of gluten, added sugar, additives, extracts and chemicals.

Balance of Nature comes in 2 containers, one for Veggies and one for Fruits, with 90 capsules in each. The company recommends taking 6 capsules a day for a month long supply.

Is the Balance of Nature or GOvana Ingredients List Better?

Comparing the fruits, berries, vegetables, herbs and mushrooms contained in these 2 supplements, the GOvana vitamins clearly have the better ingredients versus Balance of Nature.

The Fruit Blend has many high-antioxidant berries, such as blueberry, raspberry, amla, cranberry, goji and acai. As well as healthy fruits like lemon, noni, papaya, pomegranate and mangosteen.

The Vegetable Blend has nutrient-rich alfalfa, spinach and broccoli as the first 3 ingredients listed. By convention, these should be the most predominant by weight.

It also contains kale, garlic and many medicinal mushrooms, including reishi, cordyceps, maitake, shiitake and chaga. My concern though, with these ingredients listed later on the supplement facts panel, is that they would be in very small amounts.

Balance of Nature does have some nutritious additions not found in the GOvana capsules, such as aloe vera, cayenne pepper and wheatgrass. Overall the ingredients list is weaker though, with too many commonly eaten fruits in particular, like apple, banana, grape, orange and tomato.

Pros and Cons of GOvana 24 Fruits and Veggies

Pros

  • Lots of high-antioxidant berries and fruits, as well as healthy herbs, vegetables and medicinal mushrooms in the ingredients list.
  • Contains green tea extract, rich in flavonoids and polyphenols like epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), as well as vitamin B12, a nutrient many older Americans are deficient in. Govanna vitamins

Cons

  • The 125 mgs of green tea extract in both the fruit and vegetable blends contains 25 mg of caffeine each. So if you take one of each you would be getting 50 mg of caffeine, around half the amount found in an average cup of coffee. Keep this in mind if you’re sensitive to this stimulant.
  • While many people in the USA could benefit from some extra vitamin B12, both GOvana Fruits and Vegetables products have 6 mcg which is 250% of the recommended daily value. That’s 500% of the DV if you take one of each. Many nutrition experts have stated that the current B12 DV is too low, but this is still quite a bit, especially if you’re taking a multivitamin with B12 at the same time.
  • Hempvana recommends taking just 1 capsule of their Fruit Blend and 1 of their Vegetable Blend per day. While the ingredients are stronger, each pill only contains 500 mg, making just 1,000 mg in total. That’s a small dosage, especially compared to 6 caps a day of Fruits & Veggies for a 4,021 mg daily dose.
  • Just 30 capsules per container with GOvana 24 Fruits and Vegetables versus 90 with Balance of Nature yet currently less than ten dollars cheaper. This is a very expensive supplement and far more costly than much better Fruits & Veggies alternatives here.

Pros and Cons of Balance of Nature Supplement

Pros

  • Fruits & Veggies capsules have some healthy additions, such as broccoli, aloe vera, garlic, blueberry, kale, cranberry, spinach, wheatgrass and shiitake mushroom.
  • The Balance of Nature company says all the ingredients are harvested at peak ripeness and freeze-dried to retain the most vitamins, minerals and other nutritional elements.
  • 180 capsules in total for Balance of Nature’s Fruits & Veggies and a 4,021 mg daily dose, versus GOvana’s 60 pills and just a 1,000 mg per serving. Balance Fruit and Vegetables

Cons

  • While better overall value than GOvana, Balance of Nature is still very expensive at $89.95 a month and $2.99 a day to take.
  • Too many commonly eaten vegetables and particularly fruits on the ingredient list. The Veggies pills also contain raw soybean, a controversial food additive that some are allergic to, and many people, myself included, want to avoid for a whole range of health reasons.
  • Some reviews by customers mention experiencing an upset stomach or heartburn after taking Balance of Nature. Others complain about having to swallow 6 large pills every day. And more than a few consumers on average give this product a low rating, saying they experienced no benefits or noticeable improvement from taking it.

What’s Better Than Both Balance of Nature and GOvana Supplements?

Balance of Nature rival, Clean Nutraceuticals make a superfood supplement called PhytoFuel with over 70 different berries, fruits, veggies, herbs and greens. This product also contains 5 different probiotics, prebiotics, 6 digestive enzymes and piperine for improved absorption.

Despite having far superior ingredients, it’s much less than GOvana and you can get a 90-day supply for around the same cost as a single month of Balance of Nature here on the brand’s website.

Simply Nature’s Promise is another competitor with a lower price point and better ingredient list. Unlike GOvana vitamins, it provides the same 6 pills a day as BoN’s Fruits & Veggies product.

Substance Fruits and Greens is also superior to Balance of Nature and less than half the monthly cost. While Superfood MD is a direct copy without the soy, also for around half the amount.

If you were happy to take a green powder, then Field of Greens is an excellent organic alternative, with a far higher daily dose of superfoods. It tastes great and I like adding it to my morning smoothies for extra nutrition. Go Vana Fruit Pills

Daily and Monthly Cost Comparison

GOvana currently costs $80.00 for a twin pack of Fruits and Veggies on hempvana.com. There are some reductions for multipacks but this product is still very expensive.

Taking the retail price for GOvana’s 24 Fruits and 24 Veggies, and the 2 capsule recommended daily dose, this product works out at $2.66 per day. While the ingredients are good, that’s a rip off for such a small dosage and just 30 pills per container.

This brand is also sometimes available at online Amazon. However, this is currently an older formula with just 16 fruits and 16 veggies. The newer version of GOvana reviewed here has 24 fruits and 24 veggies. You can only find it on the company’s website.

Balance of Nature by comparison is currently offered for $89.95, on Walmart and balanceofnature.com. You cannot get it at Costco, Walgreens, GNC, Sam’s Club, Target or CVS. It may be on eBay but some customer feedback I’ve read there complained about fakes.

Fruits & Veggies works out at $2.99 a day if you take it as directed for 30 days. That’s expensive for what you get ingredients wise, especially compared to better substitutes and cheaper competitors here.

Balance of Nature Versus GOvana: The Verdict

When I first started researching the product for this review of GOvana, I was impressed by the extensive range of superfoods on the ingredients list. Unfortunately, many of the best ones are low down on the supplement facts panel. This means they will be in such small amounts as to have little chance of making a difference nutritionally.

Compounding this issue, a twin pack only contains 60 capsules and you’re supposed to take just 2 a day for a 30-day supply. Even great ingredients can make up for the fact that this is simply too low a dosage to be beneficial to all but the most nutrient-deficient customers.

When you factor this into the equation, GOvana doesn’t look that good compared to Balance of Nature, even at half the cost. Only Earth Energy Fruits and Veggies, NUU3 Nature’s SuperFuel and 8Greens are similarly overpriced for what you get.GOväna Vegetable

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend Balance of Nature either. Despite it being the better choice versus GOvana, it’s still not a very good one. The ingredients are average, yet the price is very high, likely to fund all that television advertising.

There are so many superior alternatives available in 2026, like Clean Nutraceuticals PhytoFuel, with over 70 different superfoods, probiotics, prebiotics and digestive enzymes. It’s available here on their website for much less than either GOvana or Balance of Nature.

I’ve also recently completed a guide to the best Balance of Nature alternatives here. As well as a comparison between popular super fruit and vegetable supplements. Almost all of the products in those articles are objectively better that both Balance of Nature or GOvana Fruits and Vegetables.
